1. Tiger Shrimp
Tiger shrimp is a marine commodity with a reasonably high selling value. Shrimp which are often referred to as tiger shrimp, are commonly found in the waters of Southeast Asia, South Asia, Australia, and East Africa.
Due to their large size, tiger prawns are suitable for processing into various types of dishes, starting from sauteed shrimp, grilled shrimp, and tempura to shrimp curry.
2. Vannamei Shrimp
Not inferior to tiger prawns, vaname shrimp is also a type of shrimp that has high economic value, especially as an export commodity. This shrimp, also called white leg shrimp, has excellent environmental resistance compared to other types of shrimp.

3. Jerbung Shrimp

Therefore, jerbung prawns are considered an alternative species suitable for cultivation other than tiger prawns and vaname shrimp.
4. Galah Shrimp
Prawns that can be consumed and are suitable for cultivation are galah shrimp that also called as giant prawns. It has high economic value and is easy to cultivate, making this type of shrimp an alternative choice for farmers.
The hallmark of this shrimp with the Latin name Macrobrachium rosenbergii is the presence of long claws resembling a pole. In addition, this shrimp is physically more significant than other shrimp. Therefore in Indonesia, this shrimp is known as udang galah.
5. Dogol Shrimp
The last type of shrimp for cultivation is dogol shrimp. This is because the market demand for dogol shrimp is relatively high. This shrimp is also one of the high-value fishery commodities on the market.
The characteristics of dogol shrimp are in their physical condition, which is not too big but not too small. In addition, the skin is also thicker and coarser in texture compared to other types of shrimp.

Types of Freshwater Ornamental Shrimp
6. Blue Pearl Shrimp
Blue pearl shrimp is a type of ornamental shrimp originating from Taiwan. This shrimp has a bright blue colour, like a glowing pearl, so it is very suitable to be kept in an aquarium.
7. Bumble Bee Shrimp
This shrimp belongs to the Caridina family. As the name suggests, this bumble bee shrimp has a black, yellow, and white colour pattern similar to a bee. Usually, bumble bee shrimp are kept in an aquascape with aquatic plants, wood, and ornamental stones.
8. Red Cherry Shrimp
Still from the Caridina family, the Caridina spinata shrimp is the most beautiful ornamental shrimp in Indonesia. With the dominance of bright red colour, this shrimp looks very striking and is suitable for those who want to start aquascape hobbies.
9. Vampire Shrimp
Vampire shrimp or vampire shrimp is a type of shrimp originating from West Africa and South America. This type of shrimp is unique in how it takes its food by grabbing it with its two small hands.
Shrimp with the Latin name Atya gabonensis has a grey body that tends to be white. Meanwhile, in terms of size, vampire shrimp are ornamental shrimp with the largest body size among other types of ornamental shrimp.
10. Red Rili Shrimp
Red rili shrimp is a type of ornamental shrimp that is similar to red cherry shrimp at first glance. But the difference is, that red rili shrimp have a white pattern in the middle of their body. Usually, this species can grow up to 3 cm long. With its size, this shrimp is very suitable for aquascape.
